Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our educational team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and disabilities. Experience working with children, particularly in special education or toddler care, is highly valued. Duties
- Provide personalised support to children with special educational needs, including autism and disabilities
- Assist teachers in implementing tailored learning programmes and activities
- Support children during classroom activities, playtime, and mealtimes to promote inclusion and engagement
- Help create a safe, welcoming environment that encourages social interaction and independence
- Support children with behavioural challenges by applying positive behaviour management techniques
- Collaborate with teaching staff and parents to monitor progress and adapt support strategies accordingly
- Assist in the supervision of toddlers during organised activities, ensuring their safety and well\-being
- Foster effective communication with children to promote understanding and confidence in their abilities
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism or disabilities is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Experience in teaching or supporting children within educational or childcare settings is advantageous
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with children with diverse needs is beneficial
- Experience caring for toddlers or young children helps in understanding developmental stages and behavioural cues
- Strong communication skills are crucial for effectively supporting children's learning and liaising with colleagues and parents
Please note this is a term time position and you will be required to work school term dates plus five additional inset days across the year.

Pay: £13\.05\-£13\.25 per hour
