Learning Support Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our educational team. The successful candidate will work closely with children, including those with special educational needs, to support their learning and development in a nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners' lives while gaining valuable experience in specialised education settings.
Duties
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored educational programmes for children with diverse needs, including those with autism and disabilities.
- Support individualised learning plans and adapt activities to meet each child's unique requirements.
- Provide one\-on\-one assistance to children, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work with children across different age groups, including toddlers, ensuring their safety and well\-being at all times.
- Facilitate communication between children and staff, employing effective communication skills to support understanding and interaction.
- Encourage participation in classroom activities, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment.
- Assist with behavioural management strategies as directed by teaching staff.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and behaviour as required.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or special educational needs is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in teaching or supporting children within educational or care settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of working with children with disabilities or in toddler care settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: £13\.05\-£13\.25 per hour
