<h3>Psychologist – Learning Disabilities & Complex Care | Dundee</h3>
<p>Pulse is working with a specialist inpatient provider in <strong>Dundee</strong> to recruit an experienced <strong>Psychologist</strong> to support adults with <strong>learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder and complex presentations</strong>. This is a <strong>part‑time locum opportunity (3 days per week)</strong> within a highly supportive <strong>multidisciplinary team</strong>, offering excellent clinical exposure and flexible working.</p>
<p>The role is due to <strong>start mid‑March 2026</strong> and will continue <strong>until a permanent appointment is made</strong>, making it ideal if you’re looking for stability without long‑term commitment. Attractive rates are available, and the service is based in<strong> Dundee</strong>.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p>In this role, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Provide psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder</li>
<li>Work with individuals presenting with complex needs and behaviours that challenge</li>
<li>Contribute to care planning and risk management using evidence‑based approaches</li>
<li>Work collaboratively within a full MDT including psychiatry, nursing and therapy colleagues</li>
<li>Support positive behaviour support planning and trauma‑informed care</li>
<li>Contribute to reports, reviews and clinical discussions, ensuring high standards of care</li>
</ul>
<p>You’ll have the autonomy to shape your clinical input while being fully supported by an experienced team around you.</p>

<h2>Qualifications & Experience</h2>
<p><strong>Essential / Minimum:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist</li>
<li>Experience working with <strong>learning disabilities</strong></li>
<li>Experience supporting individuals with <strong>complex presentations</strong> and/or <strong>autistic spectrum disorder</strong></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Desirable (but not essential):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Inpatient or high‑dependency setting experience</li>
<li>Experience with positive behaviour support or trauma‑informed approaches</li>
</ul>
