SWRP are delighted to be recruiting for a Learning & Development Manager on behalf of a highly regarded professional services organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Learning & Development professional to shape and drive the learning agenda across a multi-site business. Working closely with senior leaders, managers and HR colleagues, you'll play a key role in developing talent, supporting career progression and creating meaningful learning opportunities across the organisation.

The Role

As Learning & Development Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation's learning and development strategy, ensuring colleagues at all levels have access to high-quality development opportunities that support both individual growth and wider business objectives.

This is a varied and hands-on position that combines strategic planning with practical delivery. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to identify development needs, design learning solutions, coordinate training programmes and monitor their effectiveness.

A particular focus of the role will be supporting early careers programmes, internal progression pathways, leadership development, compliance training and the ongoing development of a positive learning culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement learning and development plans aligned to organisational objectives.

  • Conduct training needs analysis and identify development opportunities across departments.

  • Partner with managers and leaders to create practical and effective learning solutions.

  • Design, coordinate and evaluate learning programmes and development initiatives.

  • Lead the development experience for apprentices, trainees and other early careers employees.

  • Create structured learning pathways that support career progression and talent development.

  • Coordinate mentoring, coaching and internal development programmes.

  • Deliver workshops, induction sessions and professional development activities.

  • Support leadership and management development across the organisation.

  • Oversee mandatory compliance and regulatory training.

  • Manage learning records, reporting, budgets and supplier relationships.

  • Monitor learning effectiveness and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain and develop digital learning platforms and resources.

  • Represent the organisation at careers fairs and educational events when required.

About You

We're looking for a credible and engaging Learning & Development professional who can influence stakeholders at all levels and bring learning initiatives to life.

You'll have:

  • Previous experience within Learning & Development, Talent Development or Organisational Development.

  • Experience delivering learning programmes from needs analysis through to evaluation.

  • Strong organisational and project management skills.

  • Experience designing learning pathways, development programmes and training workshops.

  • Excellent facilitation, presentation and communication skills.

  • The ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers and senior stakeholders.

  • Experience using Microsoft 365 and digital learning platforms.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent administrative skills.

  • A professional, approachable and learner-focused attitude.

  • CIPD, Learning & Development, Coaching or Facilitation qualification, or equivalent experience.

Desirable:
  • Experience within professional services, legal or regulated environments.

  • Experience supporting apprenticeships, traineeships or early careers programmes.

  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory learning requirements.

  • Experience with learning management systems and online learning platforms.
