Learning \& Development Manager – Thesleff Group Head Office
Thesleff Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Learning \& Development Manager to join our Head Office team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver the learning and development strategy across one of London’s most ambitious and fast\-growing hospitality groups, supporting a portfolio of premium restaurant brands including Los Mochis, Sale e Pepe, MA/NA, Viajante87, and Luna Omakase.
As Learning \& Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing people, strengthening leadership capability, improving retention, and helping create exceptional employee experiences across the business.
The Role
As Learning \& Development Manager, you will work closely with operational leaders, HR, and senior management teams to design, implement, and oversee training and development initiatives across all levels of the organisation.
This is a highly collaborative and visible role requiring excellent communication skills, strong hospitality understanding, and a genuine passion for people development and culture.
The Learning \& Development Manager will be responsible for building structured learning pathways, supporting onboarding and leadership development, and helping create a consistent and engaging training culture throughout the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the company’s learning and development strategy
- Design and implement training programmes across front\-of\-house, back\-of\-house, and leadership teams
- Support onboarding and induction processes across the business
- Create leadership development and succession planning initiatives
- Work closely with operational management teams to identify training needs and performance gaps
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and employee development outcomes
- Support employee engagement, retention, and internal progression initiatives
- Ensure training materials, SOPs, and development resources remain current and aligned with company standards
- Help foster a positive, people\-focused culture across all venues
- Previous experience as a Learning \& Development Manager or senior L\&D professional within hospitality
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and hospitality environments
- Experience delivering leadership and management training programmes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Passionate about people development, coaching, and culture
- Ability to build strong relationships across multiple departments and seniority levels
- Confident working both strategically and operationally
