What you'll do

• Take responsibility for architectural leadership by defining and driving the technical vision, establishing architectural standards, leading design reviews, and ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across the platform


• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, ensuring high reliability, observability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement of system performance and stability


• Improve the Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) pipeline by enhancing workflows, increasing scalability, and driving technical excellence across the end\-to\-end processing landscape


• Modularize AI functionalities by defining clear service boundaries, reducing system complexity, improving maintainability, and enabling future growth and innovation


• Support the in\-housing of critical technologies and knowledge transfer initiatives by mentoring engineers, promoting best practices, fostering technical ownership, and building sustainable expertise within the organization


• Strengthen team enablement and mentorship by coaching engineers, providing hands\-on technical guidance, conducting code and design reviews, and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

What you'll need

• A university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field


• At least 7 years of professional experience in Software Engineering or a comparable technical role


• Strong technical expertise in Java, system architecture, and modern AI/LLM technologies


• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts across teams and stakeholders


• Hands\-on mentality combined with a pragmatic and solution\-oriented approach


• Strong collaboration skills with experience working effectively in cross\-functional and cross\-team environments


• Strategic thinking with the ability to balance long\-term architectural vision and short\-term delivery needs


• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills (C1 level or native speaker)


• Nice to have: experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) systems


• Nice to have: experience successfully supporting or leading in\-housing initiatives or knowledge transfer programs
