Ofgem is on an ambitious transformation journey. Within the Digital, Data and Security Services (DDSS) directorate, we are expanding and maturing our Salesforce capability through the Salesforce Centre of Enablement (CoE). This includes developing a strategic roadmap for Salesforce, enhancing customer and colleague experiences, and ensuring the platform delivers value across a complex and evolving organisation.

As a Lead Product Manager (Salesforce), you will be responsible for the vision, strategy and lifecycle management of Ofgem's Salesforce platform. You will lead product planning and prioritisation, working closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, architects and suppliers to ensure the platform evolves in line with user needs and organisational objectives.

This is a senior, high\-impact leadership role requiring strong product management expertise, strategic thinking and the ability to influence across complex business and technology environments.

Job description

You will be responsible for:

  • Defining and leading the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Salesforce across the organisation.

  • Owning the Salesforce product lifecycle, ensuring ongoing alignment with organisational priorities and user needs.

  • Working with stakeholders across business and technology functions to identify, prioritise and deliver product improvements.

  • Driving value\-focused decision making through robust product governance, performance measurement and benefits realisation.

  • Managing and balancing competing priorities across multiple workstreams, products and platform capabilities.

  • Leading product planning activities, including roadmap development, backlog management and investment prioritisation.

  • Collaborating with delivery teams to ensure successful implementation of product enhancements and platform developments.

  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, influencing decisions and securing support for strategic product initiatives.

  • Managing product risks, dependencies and cross\-programme impacts to ensure successful delivery.

  • Driving continuous improvement through user feedback, service performance data and market insight.

  • Supporting the development of product management capability across the Salesforce Centre of Enablement.

  • Representing Salesforce product interests within governance forums and strategic decision\-making groups.

Person specification

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise\-scale Salesforce implementations, including multi\-cloud and complex integrations. (Lead Criteria)

  • Proven ownership of enterprise\-level product and platform roadmaps. (Lead Criteria)

  • Proven ability to manage cross\-programme dependencies and delivery governance.

  • Strong leadership and line management experience.

  • Knowledge of Agile at scale, DevOps, and CI/CD for Salesforce.

  • Financial and commercial acumen, including supplier management.
Holds or can obtain the following certifications or equivalent within 6 months:
  • Certified Product Manager (CPM) or equivalent

  • Salesforce certifications \- Administrator and Platform App Builder.
Desirable Criteria
  • Prior experience of public sector or cross\-government product management, with knowledge of assurance frameworks and governance.

  • Knowledge of data governance and security frameworks.

  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and integration patterns.
