About the Role

As the Lead Platform / Solution Engineer, you will serve as the design authority, bridging the client’s IT strategy and Sonata’s engineering delivery.

You will lead architecture decisions, own the integration design between the client’s SAP estate and Microsoft Fabric, establish the Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) governance framework, and facilitate stakeholder workshops with IT and business leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead solution and platform architecture decisions.


• Own the integration design between the client’s SAP estate and Microsoft Fabric.


• Establish Power Platform governance, including data loss prevention (DLP) policies, the CoE Toolkit, and environment strategy.


• Incorporate Azure AI Services into solution design.


• Produce and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs).


• Facilitate design workshops and present recommendations to IT directors and C\-suite stakeholders.


• Align engineering delivery with the client’s IT strategy and business priorities.

• 12\+ years of overall IT experience, including 7\+ years in solution or platform architecture on Microsoft Azure.


• Hands\-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Power Platform governance, including DLP, the CoE Toolkit, and environment strategy.


• SAP integration experience using RFC, OData, BAPIs, or Azure integration patterns into SAP.


• Experience with Azure AI Services, including Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Cognitive Services, and AI\-enriched solution design.


• Experience producing architecture decision records in a client\-facing environment.


• Confidence facilitating design workshops and presenting to IT directors and C\-suite stakeholders.

• Experience designing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks, using a registry or hub model on any platform.


• Experience in the engineering and construction sector.


• Microsoft certifications such as AZ\-305, DP\-700, or equivalent.
