Lead Nurse - Community (Older People)
We have a fabulous opportunity for a Band 6 Lead Nurse (RMN) to join North Dales Older Adult Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our supportive team.
The CMHT is a busy and dynamic team, supporting individuals over the age of 65 with both organic and functional mental illness.
The post holder will be clinically responsible for their caseload, manage ‘duty’ responsibilities and be part of the wider MDT.
They will need to support patients with a range of mental health conditions, offering both assessment and intervention.
The post holder will also have the opportunity to progress their leadership skills.
This is a permanent 37\.5hr per week.
The role of Lead Nurse includes supporting and managing a complex caseload, initial assessments, assessing risk, developing collaborative care plans, undertaking the role for duty worker, administering depot injections, attending CST meetings and working closely with our partners in health and social care.
As a Lead Nurse there is a requirement to support and develop student nurses and to supervise junior members of the team.
The successful candidates will receive regular clinical and managerial supervision, with access to professional development.
In the Older Peoples Division, development of knowledge and skills is actively encouraged, with training opportunities supported wherever possible.
