Role Overview

As Tech Lead for the CARE Consumer App \& Identity team, you will guide the technical direction for the pod responsible for authentication, customer onboarding, account management, and secure integrations with CRM and backend services. Your work directly impacts the customer experience in the Sector Alarm mobile app, reducing friction and ensuring security, stability, and scalability.

This is a permanent, full\-time position reporting to the Engineering Manager.

You will

  • Shape the team’s engineering culture through technical leadership, mentoring, and a proactive mindset.

  • Empower developers to solve complex problems across identity, onboarding, and cross\-country CRM journeys.

  • Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Senior Developers, Mobile Developers, and Engineering Managers to deliver solutions that bring real business value.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in identity flows, .NET, distributed systems, and customer\-facing app journeys.
Key responsibilities
  • Own the technical vision, architecture, and solution design across identity, onboarding, account settings, GDPR cleanup, and CRM integrations.

  • Lead development of APIs and backend services (.NET) powering login, user data, onboarding flows, and internal processes.

  • Break down epics into technical tasks, plan sequencing of work, and ensure alignment with business goals and constraints.

  • Stay hands\-on in development, maintaining all developer responsibilities.

  • Mentor developers and influence training and development plans for technical skills, extending your impact beyond your immediate team.

  • Build consensus, solve blockers, and escalate when needed for complex technical initiatives across platforms, disciplines, and pods.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and Engineering Managers to agree on solutions and communicate technical debt and its value.

  • Ensure technical alignment and delivery coordination with other pods, especially for cross\-pod dependencies.

  • Take initiative to support company\-wide projects beyond Tech (e.g., wellbeing, ESG, etc).
What We’re Looking For

Must\-Have Skills \& Experience

  • Minimum 2 years as a Tech Lead or equivalent senior technical role.

  • Minimum 8 years as a Backend Developer (.NET Core/C\#), with hands\-on coding experience.

  • Expertise in authentication and authorization flows (Auth0/Okta/Oauth2\).

  • Proven experience designing and delivering production APIs and microservices.

  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (Azure preferred), REST/event\-driven patterns, and distributed systems.

  • Experience collaborating with cross\-functional teams (Product, Design/UX, Data).

  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non\-technical stakeholders.

  • Valid EU work permit.

  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Nice\-to\-have
  • Experience with Azure ecosystem, Service Bus, SQL/NoSQL data stores.

  • DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

  • Event\-driven architectures and domain\-driven design.

  • Exposure to mobile development workflows (Android/iOS) or CRM integrations.
