Accountabilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of a production-grade smart contract library for a Daml-based ecosystem, including vaults, RBAC systems, credentials, messaging gateways, and modular account primitives.
- Architect and implement core DeFi reference applications such as privacy-preserving decentralized exchanges, lending protocols, cross-network stablecoin settlement systems, and confidential auction platforms.
- Drive the implementation of key protocol standards and ensure compatibility across evolving ecosystem specifications in collaboration with external technical stakeholders.
- Own technical roadmap discussions, milestone planning, and delivery coordination with multiple institutional and protocol partners.
- Conduct deep security design reviews, threat modeling, and audit preparation in collaboration with internal security researchers and auditors.
- Build and extend AI-native engineering workflows, including automation agents, evaluation systems, and security-focused tooling.
- Apply AI-assisted techniques to enhance vulnerability discovery, invariant testing, fuzzing, and formal analysis.
- Contribute insights and improvements back to protocol-level tooling, SDKs, and developer experience frameworks.
- Engage in advanced research around privacy-preserving financial systems, multi-party authorization, and secure DeFi architecture.
Requirements
- Strong production experience with Daml, including building and shipping complex smart contract systems using templates, choices, and multi-party authorization patterns.
- 3+ years of experience working with UTXO-based or privacy-preserving blockchain architectures such as Canton, Cardano, Mina, Zcash, or similar systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on DeFi engineering experience, including building primitives like AMMs, lending protocols, vault systems, or cross-chain settlement solutions.
- Proven security-first mindset with demonstrated experience in auditing, hardening, or responsibly disclosing vulnerabilities in production systems.
- Strong understanding of reusable protocol and SDK design patterns, including modular architectures, hooks, and extensible primitives.
- Experience with cross-chain interoperability solutions and messaging protocols such as LayerZero, Wormhole, Chainlink CCIP, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with institutional-grade financial systems, including compliance flows, custody models, and credential-based authorization logic.
- Daily use of AI-powered developer tools with proven experience building or integrating AI agents, automation pipelines, or evaluation frameworks.
- Practical experience applying AI in security workflows such as fuzzing, static analysis enhancement, or vulnerability research.
- Strong communication skills in English and ability to work directly with technical stakeholders.
- High autonomy, ownership mindset, and ability to operate in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Background in cryptography or financial engineering.
- Experience in institutional finance, capital markets, or tokenized real-world assets.
- Contributions to open-source blockchain or AI tooling projects.
- Experience with non-EVM ecosystems such as Starknet, Aptos, Arbitrum Stylus, or Stellar.
