Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Laundry Manager to oversee the daily operations of our laundry services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency. Previous hotel experience is preferred, as it provides valuable insight into hospitality industry requirements. Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily running of the laundry department, ensuring timely and efficient processing of all linen and garments

  • Supervise laundry staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to optimise productivity

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety within the laundry area

  • Oversee inventory levels of detergents, chemicals, and linen supplies, placing orders as necessary

  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all items are cleaned to the required standard

  • Coordinate with other departments to meet operational deadlines and special requests

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times

  • Develop and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a laundry or hospitality environment; hotel experience is highly desirable

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate team members

  • Knowledge of laundry machinery operation and maintenance is advantageous

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by operational demands

  • A proactive approach towards problem\-solving and process improvement
