Duties
- Develop and maintain web applications using Laravel PHP framework, ensuring clean, efficient, and scalable code.
- Design and implement cloud\-based solutions on AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation to optimize deployment and scalability.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration across various platforms and services.
- Collaborate with front\-end developers to integrate Angular or React components with backend services for a cohesive user experience.
- Write comprehensive unit tests and conduct debugging to ensure high\-quality deliverables aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards.
- Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies like Scrum, and contribute to continuous improvement processes.
- Design database schemas using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server; optimize queries for performance; implement database design best practices.
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on PHP frameworks like Laravel.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and related tools.
- Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and integrating third\-party web services using SOAP or XML protocols.
- Front\-end development skills with Angular or React; familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript for UI/UX enhancements.
- Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or SQL Server; strong SQL skills including T\-SQL or PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or GitHub; understanding of SDLC methodologies such as Scrum or TFS.
- Knowledge of Linux environments and shell scripting; experience with application deployment using IIS or Apache servers.
- Ability to write clean code adhering to OOP principles; experience with application development tools like Visual Studio or Eclipse is a plus.
- Excellent debugging skills; familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker is advantageous.
Pay: From £70,000\.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Kingston upon Hull
