Ladies Fashion : Assistant Buyer / Junior Buyer
An exciting opportunity has opened to join GINI London as an Assistant Buyer / Junior Buyer, working across our fast\-paced and growing womenswear business.
We’re looking for someone who is commercial, fashion\-obsessed and product driven, with a strong eye for emerging trends and a real understanding of what makes product sell.
Working closely with the Head of Buying and wider buying, merchandising and design teams, you’ll play an important role in developing seasonal ranges, managing suppliers and helping drive the continued growth of the GINI London brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and delivery of commercial womenswear ranges from initial concept through to launch
- Identify key fashion, colour, print and product trends relevant to the GINI London customer
- Carry out competitor shops and market research to identify new product opportunities
- Work closely with Design and Merchandising to build balanced and commercially strong ranges
- Manage product development, samples, approvals and critical path deadlines
- Liaise directly with UK and international suppliers and factories
- Negotiate prices and support the delivery of margin targets
- Prepare for and participate in range reviews, sign\-offs and supplier meetings
- Review weekly trading performance and identify repeats, opportunities and areas requiring action
- Support fit sessions and ensure product quality, styling and commercial standards are maintained
- Develop strong relationships across suppliers, internal teams and external retail partners
- Previous womenswear buying experience at Assistant Buyer or Junior Buyer level
- Strong fashion awareness with a genuine passion for womenswear product
- A commercial mindset with an understanding of sales, margin and product performance
- Confidence analysing trade and using data to support buying decisions
- Excellent organisation and critical path management skills
- Strong communication and supplier management skills
- Confident working in a fast\-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Good knowledge of Excel and buying systems
- Experience working with international suppliers would be advantageous
- Experience across dresses, separates, knitwear, outerwear or multi\-product womenswear would be particularly relevant
