Laboratory Assistant, Clemmensen Group
We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant to support the work of the Clemmensen Group at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR), to start August 1, 2026, or after agreement. The position is suitable for a person in flex job, as the average working hours are 10 pr. week.
Our research
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research (CBMR) is an academic research Center that pioneers groundbreaking research towards better cardiometabolic health. Through collaborative interdisciplinary research CBMR aims to transform the basic understanding of cardiometabolic health and accelerate its translation into prevention and treatment strategies. The Center’s uniquely multi\- and interdisciplinary approach combines research in genetics, physiology and pharmacology, to better understand the complex interplay of the many factors that drive cardiometabolic disease. CBMR was established in 2010 at the Faculty of Health \& Medical Sciences and has been located in the Maersk Tower at the Panum building since 2017\. The around 260 employees create an international, highly collaborative research environment across disciplines.
Our group and research
The Clemmensen Group investigates the physiological, pathophysiological, and pharmacological mechanisms that govern energy metabolism. We study body weight regulation, appetite control, energy expenditure, nutrition, exercise, and weight loss pharmacotherapies. You can read more about the group’s work of the group here.
The different job tasks will be
- Receiving, registering and storing materials
- Assist in collection of samples
- Aliquoting
- Preparation and labelling of tubes
- Refilling consumables
The place of employment is the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, Maersk Tower, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. We offer creative and stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.
Terms of salary and employment
The employment as Laboratory Assistant is a permanent position. The average working hours is 10 hours pr. week. Expected starting date is August 1, 2026, or after agreement.
Employment as Laboratory Assistant will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and OAO/HK STAT. The position is placed in salary group 1\.
