KS2 Teacher
Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Derby to recruit a committed KS2 Teacher for the new academic year. The school is open to teachers with experience across either Lower KS2 or Upper KS2 and would also welcome applications from enthusiastic ECTs looking to build their experience within a supportive setting.
This full-time role is expected to be for the entire academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate. The school benefits from a supportive leadership team, strong behaviour expectations, and a collaborative staff culture focused on delivering positive outcomes for pupils.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate engaging KS2 lessons
- Adapt teaching to suit the needs of pupils across Lower or Upper KS2
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting support where needed
- Create a positive and structured classroom environment
- Work closely with colleagues, support staff and SLT
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
- Support pupils through key transitions and preparation for SATs where applicable
- UK QTS or be completing teacher training this year
- Experience teaching or supporting within KS2 placements/classrooms
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils academically and socially
- Long-term stability for the full academic year
