Reed Education are excited to be working with a supportive and welcoming primary school in Doncaster, who are seeking a passionate and committed Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the early stages of children’s educational journeys.

The Role

As a KS1 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 national curriculum

  • Support pupils in building strong literacy and numeracy foundations

  • Deliver effective phonics lessons using Read Write Inc (RWI) or Little Wandle

  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1

  • Has strong working knowledge of RWI or Little Wandle phonics programmes

  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching

  • Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Is committed to continuous professional development
