Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, assisting with food preparation, and upholding high standards of hygiene and safety within our establishment. Duties

• Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.


• Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring all necessary items are ready for service.


• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently.


• Ensure all work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas are kept hygienic and organised in accordance with health and safety standards.


• Help with the organisation of stock, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.


• Support serving staff during busy periods by providing assistance with food plating or clearing tables if required.


• Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for all staff members.

• Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.


• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures is desirable.


• Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or similar hospitality environments is a plus.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.


• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills are essential qualities for success in this role.


• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.


• Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
