Kitchen Porter

Kitchen Porter Required

Hours: 24 hours per week, spread over 7 days

Salary: €14\.15 per hour

Shifts: Approximately 3–4 shifts per week

Weekend work: Applicants must be available to work Saturday and Sunday as required.

Reporting to: Head Chef

Key Responsibilities

· Wash and clean all dishes, utensils and equipment from both the dining room and kitchen.

· Work closely alongside the chefs and assist with basic food preparation and preparation of food items.

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.

· Carry out deep cleaning of the kitchen as required.

· Follow all kitchen cleaning schedules and procedures.

· Receive, check and put away deliveries and orders.

· Ensure stock and kitchen areas are kept clean, organised and tidy.

· Assist the kitchen team with general duties as required.

· Lock up and secure the kitchen at night, following the required closing procedures.

· Follow all food safety, hygiene and health \& safety procedures.

Requirements

· HACCP certification is essential.

· Good spoken English is essential to ensure clear communication with the kitchen team and to understand food safety, hygiene and cleaning procedures.

· Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or Kitchen Porter role is desirable.

· Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

· Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

· Flexible and willing to work weekends, including Saturday and Sunday.

· Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
