We're currently recruiting an experienced and driven Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operation.
About the Role
As Kitchen Manager, you will take full ownership of the kitchen, leading a team of kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high\-quality food production across all service periods. You'll be responsible for maintaining standards, managing the team, controlling costs, and ensuring full compliance with food safety legislation. This is a hands\-on role in a busy, high\-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and motivate the kitchen team across all shifts
- Oversee all food production, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to recipe and brand standard
- Maintain full compliance with food hygiene, allergen, and health and safety legislation
- Manage food ordering, stock control, and wastage to support cost targets
- Conduct and maintain accurate HACCP records, temperature logs, and kitchen compliance documentation
- Train, develop, and onboard kitchen team members, maintaining training records
- Manage kitchen rotas and ensure adequate staffing for all service periods
- Work closely with the F\&B Manager and senior management team on menu development, events, and operational planning
- Proven management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment, ideally as a Kitchen Supervisor or similar role.
- Extensive background in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a fast\-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary setting is essential; barista experience is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with managing inventory systems and ordering supplies efficiently.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- A passion for culinary arts combined with strong communication skills to motivate staff and deliver exceptional customer service.
