\- Up to £12\.80 per hour depending on experience.
\- 3 x 6 hours per shift with opportunities to pick up extra shifts (18 hours per week)
\- Working every other weekend.
\- Paid breaks; Extra pay on all bank holidays; Staff incentives and bonuses
We are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our well\-trained and friendly team of staff on a bank basis.
Job Purpose:
You will work within the kitchen and dining area to provide nutritious and enticing meals for the residents of the care home. You will assist the cook to ensure smooth dining operation and in turn, create an enjoyable experience for our residents.
Duties:
- Prepare drinks and evening meal (tea) for residents.
- Develop relationships with our residents and understand their meal choices.
- Maintaining a clean hazard free kitchen and dining area in order to minimise risk to residents and employees of the home.
- Documenting all actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Work safely within the company policies, seeking advice and guidance where necessary.
Ideally, you will have experience of working in a catering environment with old age and dementia. However, full training will be provided. You should have a positive attitude with a desire to deliver the best possible results for our residents.
