Kigtek Solutions — part of VINCI Energies, a global leader in energy, digital innovation and industrial technology — is seeking a Senior Control Systems Software Engineer to help deliver advanced automation solutions for the Distilling, Brewing, Food Manufacturing and Renewable Energy industries.
The Role
------------
- Take the lead on designing, developing, testing and commissioning PLC, SCADA and HMI control systems.
- Produce high‑quality documentation including FDS, system architecture, and testing specifications.
- Manage software delivery through the full project lifecycle, from requirements capture through FAT/SAT to commissioning and final handover.
- Diagnose issues and improve control systems operating within live industrial environments.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor junior colleagues.
- Engage with clients to present technical solutions and support successful project outcomes.

- Engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC) in Controls, Automation, Electrical Engineering or Software.
- Strong background in PLC/SCADA/HMI development for industrial automation.
- Solid grasp of programming principles, testing processes and version control.
- Familiarity with key industrial communication standards such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP or OPC UA.
- Demonstrated experience in FAT/SAT activities and on‑site commissioning.
- Confident communicator with a full UK driving licence.
Experience with functional safety (IEC 61508/61511\), cyber security, IIoT/cloud technology, major vendor platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider, AVEVA), or automation within regulated industries.
