Key Account Manager (North)

About you

You already know the vinyl and graphics world.

You understand vinyl, the difference between products and applications, and the sort of questions sign makers, wrappers and graphics businesses actually ask their suppliers.

You’re comfortable being out on the road, building relationships, opening doors and looking after a patch as though it’s your own business.

This isn’t about hammering a call list or chasing quick wins. It’s about becoming someone customers trust, knowing where the opportunities are and being commercially switched on enough to turn good relationships into growth.

Your experience

You’ll need genuine experience around self-adhesive vinyl, vehicle wrapping, signage, graphics or closely related materials.

That could have come from a distributor, manufacturer or from selling within the sign and graphics industry itself, but this isn’t one where we can teach the market from scratch.

You’ll understand the products, the customers and how buying decisions are made.

You’ll also have a track record in sales, account management or business development and be comfortable balancing existing customers with new business.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of West Yorkshire and the North East, building on existing customer relationships while finding opportunities to grow the territory.

A big part of the role is simply being visible. Getting in front of customers, understanding what they’re using, where their spend is going and where you can genuinely help.

You’ll be winning new accounts, developing existing ones, bringing dormant relationships back to life and making sure opportunities don’t disappear because nobody followed them up.

You’ll have a strong internal team behind you, but you’ll be trusted to manage your own diary, plan the patch properly and take responsibility for the number.

When you’re not out seeing customers, you’ll be home-based. The main office is in Bristol, so there’ll be some time there during onboarding and then typically an occasional visit, roughly once a month rather than a weekly commute.

About the business

This is a long-established name in the sign, graphics and visual communications market, with decades of history behind it and a product range covering some of the biggest brands in vinyl, wrapping and graphics materials.

They’re not standing still either. There’s continued investment into new films, automotive products, customer events and new areas of the market, so there’s plenty more to talk to customers about than simply price per metre.

It’s a replacement hire, but an important one. They want somebody who can properly own the territory, build strong customer relationships and give the patch some real attention.
