Junior Womenswear Clothing Designer

About the Role
We are looking for a creative and commercially aware Junior Womenswear Multi\-Product Designer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fashion, trends, and product development across multiple womenswear categories.
The successful candidate will support the design team in creating trend\-led, customer\-focused collections across categories such as jersey, woven, knitwear, outerwear, tailoring, and casualwear. You will contribute from concept through to final product, ensuring designs align with the brand aesthetic and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and interpret seasonal fashion trends, colour palettes, fabrics, and silhouettes.
- Assist in designing multi\-product womenswear collections in line with the brand identity and customer profile.
- Create CADs, technical sketches, mood boards, and presentation packs.
- Support the development process from initial concept through to sample stage.
- Work closely with buying, merchandising, and garment technology teams to ensure product consistency and commercial viability.
- Collaborating with overseas suppliers to translate design concepts into production\-ready garments, with attention to fit, fabric, and finish.
- Manage the full critical path from initial design through to sealing, working closely with garment tech and factories to ensure key dates are met.
- Source fabrics, trims, and design inspiration from suppliers, trade shows, and market research.
- Maintain awareness of competitor activity and emerging market trends.
- Prepare artwork and technical information for suppliers and factories.
- Attend fit sessions and assist with design amendments where required.
- Ensure all work is delivered to deadlines in a fast\-paced environment.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design or related discipline.
- Previous internship, placement, or junior\-level experience within womenswear design preferred.
- Strong understanding of womenswear trends and multi\-product design.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong CAD and technical drawing skills.
- Excellent eye for colour, fabric, shape, and detail.
- Organised with strong time management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the target customer.
- Passionate about womenswear and current fashion trends.
- Creative with a strong attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast\-moving fashion environment.
