Destination Sport Experiences is a specialist provider of endurance sports travel and event experiences, supporting athletes competing in some of the world's most recognised running, cycling, triathlon and fitness events. Its portfolio includes Marathon Tours \& Travel, Sportive Breaks, Tri Travel, HYROX Tours and Destination Sport Charity, providing race entry, accommodation, transport and expert event support to athletes worldwide.
Role Purpose
Due to a period of maternity leave, we are looking for a Junior Product Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our established team. In this role, you will support the management of events from initial planning and supplier contracting through to product development and event delivery.
The position will primarily focus on supporting the Marathon Tours \& Travel running team, although there may be opportunities to work across other brands within the business as required. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands\-on experience in event management, product development, and operational delivery within a dynamic and growing organisation.
Key Responsabilties
- Build a portfolio of events from the planning to the operational delivery
- Liaise with hotels, transport companies, event organisers and other external suppliers
- Manage the product and keep the website up to date
- Ensure the product is loaded correctly on to the website for sale
- Constantly monitor the sales position of product and suggest appropriate course of action depending upon the position
- Work closely with our global, internal Commercial, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Assist customer service teams with customer queries
- Assist in new product development to grow our portfolio globally
- Experience using booking, inventory, reservation or CRM systems would be beneficial.
- Good commercial awareness and an interest in managing budgets and product performance.
- Experience in product, operations, events, travel, or customer\-facing roles.
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and relationship\-building skills.
- Customer\-focused with a proactive approach to problem\-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
- An understanding of health, safety and sustainability principles is desirable.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required.
