Junior Procurement Manager

Newrest Travel Retail Amsterdam is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Junior Procurement Manager to join our team! This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and make an impact by managing the purchasing and supply chain for the buy\-on\-board programs of leading airlines. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain hands\-on experience in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiations while contributing to the success of our operations. Key Responsibilities:* Learn \& Implement Sourcing Strategies: Assist in developing and executing procurement plans to balance cost\-effectiveness with quality and delivery standards.

• Build Supplier Relationships: Support the team in managing supplier relationships, participating in negotiations, and resolving supply issues to ensure smooth operations.


• Contribute to Cost Optimization: Help identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining high\-quality standards.


• Support Contract Management: Learn to draft, review, and negotiate contracts under the guidance of senior team members.


• Ensure Compliance: Gain knowledge of procurement policies, legal requirements, and industry standards to help maintain compliance.


• Reporting \& Analysis: Assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and preparing reports on savings, supplier performance, and initiatives for improvement.

What is Newrest Travel Retail searching for:Qualifications:* A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Up to 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related role; candidates with internships or entry\-level experience are welcome to apply.


• A passion for learning and developing skills in procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier negotiations.


• Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.


• Proficiency in English and Dutch (required).


• Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus but not mandatory.


• Based in the Netherlands.
