Junior Patent Secretary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Patent Secretary / Patent Administrator to join a highly regarded Intellectual Property firm in London.

This role would suit someone with previous legal administration, legal secretarial, patent secretarial or patent formalities experience who is looking to develop their career within a specialist and growing area of law.

Key responsibilities include:

• Diary and email management


• Liaising with clients and assisting with queries


• Drafting and preparing correspondence for review


• Monitoring deadlines and ensuring actions are completed on time


• Preparing reports and status updates


• Assisting with billing, invoicing and cost estimates


• Supporting fee earners and paralegals with day-to-day administration


• Maintaining accurate records and client information

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous legal administration, legal secretarial, patent secretarial or patent formalities experience


• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail


• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal


• The ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload


• A proactive and positive approach to work


• An interest in developing a long-term career within Intellectual Property
