Junior Paraplanner- Wealth Management, Hertford, £35,000–£45,000 (DOE and qualifications) + Benefits
A well-established and highly respected Independent Financial Adviser based in Hertford is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Paraplanner to join its growing team.
This opportunity is ideal for a Financial Planning Administrator looking to progress into paraplanning, or an existing Junior Paraplanner who is Diploma qualified (or nearing completion) and keen to continue their professional development within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Opportunity
Working closely with experienced Advisers and Paraplanners, you will be involved in the preparation of financial planning recommendations and technical research, while continuing to develop your knowledge across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation of suitability reports and recommendation letters
- Conducting research across pensions, investments and protection solutions
- Performing product, fund and platform comparisons
- Preparing cashflow planning and analysis where required
- Supporting advisers with pre- and post-meeting requirements
- Reviewing existing client arrangements and gathering provider information
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring compliance standards are met
- Liaising with providers, advisers and administrators to obtain relevant information
- Keeping up to date with industry and regulatory developments
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within an IFA, Wealth Management or Financial Planning environment
- Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) or be close to completing the qualification
- A genuine interest in technical financial planning
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Experience producing or assisting with suitability reports
- Familiarity with cashflow modelling tools
- Knowledge of Intelligent Office, Xplan or similar back-office systems
- Ambition to progress towards Chartered status
- Competitive salary of £35,000–£45,000
