Junior HR Consultant
About the job
https://btcpeople.co.uk/careers
Be The Change is a newly established HR Consultancy operating across Bristol and Oxfordshire. We’re young, growing quickly, and looking for our first Junior HR Consultant to join the team. This role will primarily support our HR Hotline clients, which is a growing area of the business. It's a great opportunity for someone currently operating at a HR Advisory level to take the next step in their career.
You’ll work directly with Lisa (Founder) supporting a range of brilliant clients while also helping us grow our services, build strong relationships, and be part of the journey.
BTC isn’t your average consultancy. We don’t do stuffy HR advice; we do things properly and know how to deliver great work while genuinely enjoying the company of our clients. HR can be a tricky space to work in, so our approach is what sets us apart.
What you'll actually be doing
At the core, you’ll:
- Deliver high\-quality, practical HR advice to clients. This could be anything \- it really is generalist advice! (Lisa will always be available if you need support, you won’t be thrown in the deep end with more challenging issues)
- Build strong, trusted relationships
- Manage your own workload and client base independently
- Spot opportunities to grow our services, especially our HR Hotline
- Feel confident talking to clients about what we offer
- Get involved in building the brand, including social media content and events
How we work
- Fully remote, we don’t have an office, so this is a work\-from\-home setup. Many of our clients like seeing us in real life, so you’ll need to be ok with attending their offices for meetings from time to time.
- Typically 9–5, but flexible
- Open to full\-time and part\-time candidates
- An experienced HR advisor or generalist, either in\-house or consultancy
- Someone who enjoys building relationships
- Commercially minded
- Confident working independently
- Collaborative and team\-oriented
- Open to being involved in social media and content creation
- Strong knowledge of Human Resources (HR) processes and practices
- Experience in HR Management and the development of HR Policies
- Confident around employee relations, including resolving conflicts and promoting positive relationships
- Understanding Employment Law and its practical application (we don't expect employment lawyer level advice! Just a decent overall understanding)
- If you've got a HR qualification that's great, but it's not the end of the world if you don't have one.
- This is a great time to be part of an award\-winning consultancy
- You’ll have autonomy to manage your clients in a way that works for you and meets their needs, you’ll be trusted completely
- Varied and interesting client work
- A fun working environment
The max full time salary for this role is £32,000\. Because this role includes helping grow the business, there’ll be a bonus linked to bringing in new work, whether that’s introducing new clients, expanding existing accounts, or successfully upselling our HR Hotline services.
Interested? (hope so!)
Send your CV over to info@btcpeople.co.uk \- but more importantly, tell us me a bit about you, what you’re looking for, and why this role appeals to you.
