Ignite innovation in the insurance sector — craft impactful solutions as a Junior Fullstack Java and Angular Developer!

Lisbon\-based opportunity with hybrid work model — up to 2 remote days per week.

As a Junior Developer, you will be working for our client, a leader in the insurance industry. Join their team to develop and enhance critical digital solutions, contributing to transforming insurance services with modern technology. This role offers a valuable growth path within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product owner and business analysts to understand and implement software requirements effectively.

  • Assist in designing, coding, and testing new application features using Java, Angular, and related technologies.

  • Support the team in reviewing merge requests and ensuring code quality standards are met.

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand\-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Document developed features clearly and maintain high standards of technical excellence.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in development processes and practices.

  • Support deployment and troubleshooting efforts, following best practices.

You're ideal for this role if you have:
  • 1\+ years of experience in software development, particularly with Java and Angular.

  • Knowledge of Java (8, 17, 21\), Angular, HTML, and TypeScript.

  • Familiarity with GitLab, IntelliJ, Jenkins, Maven, and REST API.

  • Experience working with databases like Oracle or Postgres.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.

  • Good communication skills in English; French language skills are a plus.

It is a strong plus if you have:
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

  • Certifications or additional training in Java or Angular development.

Language Required for the role:
  • Fluent English is required.

  • French language skills at a B1/B2 level are preferred.
