RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Aerospace System Engineer to join its office in ROME, LA SPEZIA, MILAN OR TURIN within the Operating Engine Division.
Mission
The role focuses on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of flight simulation system models and advanced flight control systems. This role involves working closely with cross\-functional teams to ensure the highest level of performance, reliability, and safety in our aerospace technologies.
Key Accountabilities
Design and Development:
- Assist in the development and integration of advanced flight simulation systems and aircraft system models for pilot training and advanced design.
- Support the design of flight control systems, including autopilot and stability augmentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Contribute to the creation of detailed design documents, technical specifications, and system architectures.
- Participate in the rigorous testing and validation of flight simulators and control systems to ensure performance and reliability.
- Utilize simulation software and hardware\-in\-the\-loop (HIL) testing methods to validate system functionality under supervision.
- Analyze test data and provide initial reports and recommendations for system improvements.Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate flight systems and simulators with broader aerospace projects.
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders, escalating complex issues to more experienced engineers.
- Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates on existing models and control systems.
- Implement minor upgrades and enhancements to improve system performance and incorporate new technologies.
- Ensure all systems comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Develop comprehensive user manuals, technical documentation, and training materials for flight simulation systems.
- Conduct training sessions for end\-users, including pilots and maintenance personnel, on the operation and maintenance of developed flight systems.
- Basic understanding of flight simulation systems and aircraft flight mechanics.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, C\+\+, or Python.
- Knowledge of simulation software and hardware\-in\-the\-loop (HIL) testing methods.
- Basic undertanding of machine learning models
- Basic knowledge of Ai python modules (tensorFlow, pyTorch)
