Junior Account Manager, Travel
Position Overview:
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded individual looking to develop a career within international sales and travel retail. The Junior Account Manager will support the management of travel retail accounts across a range of channels including airlines, duty free, cruise and ferry, export/distribution and other travel\-related businesses.
The role will support the wider Travel team in delivering sales objectives, maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating projects and analysing performance, while gaining experience across all aspects of account management and international wholesale business.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Support and Relationship Management
- Support the management of domestic and international travel retail accounts, distributors, agents and key partners across the business.
- Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support the Account Management team with day\-to\-day account activity and customer requirements.
- Assist with account administration, customer communications and maintaining accurate records.
- Help identify opportunities within existing accounts and support new business development activities where required.
- Coordinate and support promotional activities, product launches and customer initiatives.
- Assist in managing stock risks and reducing returns where possible.
- Keep up to date with travel retail trends, competitors and market developments and share relevant insights with the wider team.
- Travel occasionally as required to support meetings, events and account activity.
- Support the monitoring and reporting of sales performance across travel accounts.
- Assist with preparing sales analysis, forecasts and reporting for internal teams.
- Analyse sales and stock data to help identify opportunities and risks.
- Support the delivery of sales plans and account objectives.
- Work closely with Finance and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth account management processes.
- Build strong relationships with Trade Marketing, Product Development, Merchandise Planning, Customer Service, Logistics and Brand Marketing teams.
- Support cross\-functional projects and initiatives that help drive sales and customer engagement.
- Work alongside Merchandise Planning teams to assist with stock forecasting and product availability.
- Provide customer and market feedback to support future product development and innovation.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the manager/supervisor immediately.
- Previous experience within sales, account support, retail, customer service or administration.
- Strong communication and relationship\-building skills.
- Organised with strong attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive and eager to learn.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Comfortable working with data and using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast\-paced environment.
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
- Flexible and willing to travel where required.
