If you have solid experience within payroll outsourcing and want to contribute to high‑quality payroll delivery in an international environment, this is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and compliant payroll services for our clients. You will work with end‑to‑end payroll processing, continuous payroll (PCC), compliance activities, payment releases, reporting, and coordination with Norwegian authorities.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and global SD Worx stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. The role also includes supporting continuous improvement, maintaining local standards, and contributing to the alignment between global processes and Norwegian legal requirements. Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities in Norwegian payroll processes.

Support in assessing process deviations, determining impacts, and proposing compliant and efficient solutions.

Own and manage the change‑order process with external stakeholders, including requirement gathering, pricing, implementation, documentation, and training.

Ensure that both global and local standards are understood, implemented, and adhered to, while supporting client‑specific needs.

Maintain and update SOPs, Work Instructions, guidelines, and local payroll documentation.

Support the development of training material and train junior and medior team members on Norwegian and global standards.

Maintain close communication with clients and internal teams to ensure consistent and compliant payroll delivery.

Contribute to the design and modification of payroll processes to fit Norwegian legal requirements.

Handle complex payroll cases and act as first escalation point for operational teams.

Produce accurate and timely payroll according to SD Worx processes and contractual SLAs.

Participate in advanced testing and validation for system changes, new wage types, and configuration updates.

Support system implementations, including testing cycles, parallel runs, and UAT.

Communicate daily with client representatives to ensure smooth payroll processing.

Support, guide, and train Payroll Administrators and ensure compliance with Norwegian regulations.

Communicate with Norwegian authorities, tax offices, and benefit providers as required.

Manage and execute Year‑End activities, including statutory reporting.

Qualifications \& Experience

3\-5 years of experience in payroll outsourcing, preferably for Norwegian clients or in a Nordic SSC/BPO environment.

Strong understanding of Norwegian payroll processes, compliance, PCC, and statutory reporting.

Practical hands‑on experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and Payroll Control Center (PCC) is essential.

Experience working with multinational customers and coordinating across multiple teams.

Good understanding of SLAs, KPIs, and service delivery metrics.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross‑functional teams.

Ability to manage several priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy.

Strong problem‑solving skills, structured working style, and ability to handle pressure.

High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

Fluent in English and Norwegian (written and spoken).

Preferred Skills

Experience from a Payroll or BPO outsourcing environment.

Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll, Concur, Workforce Management systems, or payroll integrations.

Experience with inbound and outbound payroll interfaces.

Payroll certifications (CPP, CPS, CPM) are an advantage.

Experience working in continuous‑improvement or transformation‑focused environments.
