Design \& Product Development

• Experience in product design, product development or a related creative role.


• Ability to take a concept and develop it into a practical product design.


• Strong visual and creative skills.


• Good understanding of colour, materials, sizing and product specifications.


• Experience working with design software such as Photoshop, Canva or equivalent.


• Ability to understand and work with CAD drawings or CAD development.


• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.


• Excellent organisational and time\-management skills.


• Ability to prioritise competing deadlines.


• Comfortable managing a project from initial concept through to production.


• Ability to identify potential problems and resolve or escalate them appropriately.


• Strong record\-keeping and administrative skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Confident communicating with clients, suppliers and production teams.


• Ability to explain design and production requirements clearly.


• Professional and confident when dealing with customers.


• Ability to maintain clear records of conversations, decisions and approvals.

• Good understanding of stock control and purchasing processes.


• Strong Excel skills.


• Accurate data entry and record keeping.


• Ability to monitor stock levels and place supplier orders.


• Comfortable managing multiple suppliers and deliveries.

The candidate should be comfortable using or willing to learn:

• Microsoft Excel


• Canva


• Adobe Photoshop


• CAD software


• AI tools


• Digital project and stock management systems

• Experience working with overseas manufacturers.


• Experience working with Chinese suppliers or factories.


• Ability to speak Mandarin/Chinese.


• Experience in product manufacturing.


• Experience taking products from concept through to mass production.


• Experience in sales or marketing.


• Experience working within a fast\-moving SME environment.


• Knowledge of international shipping, including air and sea freight.

The ideal candidate will combine creative design ability with strong organisational and project\-management skills.

They will be someone who enjoys seeing an idea develop from an initial concept into a finished product and is comfortable taking responsibility for the many stages in between.

They will also understand that this is a varied role where no two days may be the same, and will be willing to move between design, customer communication, production, stock control, marketing and general business priorities as required.

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour
