IT Senior M365 \& Azure Cybersecurity Engineer
At Odfjell Technology, the IT department is the engine behind global collaboration and innovation. We deliver a robust and modern IT infrastructure that connects Odfjell Drilling, Odfjell Technology and Odfjell Oceanwind \- approximately 4,500 users in more than 15 countries and on 9 offshore rigs \- as well as interfaces with customer and supplier networks.
We are looking for a Senior M365 \& Azure Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen our security capabilities across Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid IT environments. The role will have particular responsibility for protecting identities, endpoints, data, applications and cloud infrastructure through proactive monitoring, incident response and continuous improvement of the security architecture.
The position will play a central role in security monitoring, threat detection, response to security incidents and implementation of best practices within the Microsoft Security portfolio. You will work closely with internal IT teams and external partners to ensure robust, standardized and future\-oriented security solutions.
The position is based in Bergen, Norway.
Main Responsibilities
Monitor and manage security incidents in SIEM systems.
Analyze and follow up threats across identity, endpoints, email and data.
Implement and improve security controls in Microsoft 365 and Entra.
Perform threat analysis and improve detection and response.
Contribute to secure architecture in Microsoft 365, AI agents, Copilot, Azure and hybrid environments.
Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments.
Ensure that security and compliance requirements are addressed in solutions and changes.
Contribute to the improvement of security processes and preparedness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in IT, information security or cybersecurity.
Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
Experience with Microsoft 365 Security, Defender, SIEM systems and Entra security.
Good understanding of IAM, Conditional Access, Zero Trust and hybrid security.
Microsoft certifications such as SC\-200, AZ\-500 or equivalent are required.
Experience with security configuration and policy management in Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra.
Practical experience with analysis, troubleshooting and improvement of security controls.
Good understanding of compliance, risk management and data protection.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English.
