Overview
The role combines strategic leadership, advanced technical expertise, and client\-facing service delivery. The postholder will oversee the design, implementation, and support of IT systems, automation solutions, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity frameworks.
Responsibilities:
Strategic IT Leadership \& Service Direction
- Define and lead the organisation’s IT strategy and Managed Service offering
- Align internal operations and client delivery with business growth objectives
- Advise senior leadership and clients on IT strategy, risk, and digital transformation
- Lead innovation in automation, AI, and cloud\-based service delivery
Deliver and oversee the following core service areas for clients:
- Business Systems Automation (BSA): Design and implement automated business systems to improve client operational efficiency
- Business Operations Automation (BOA): Analyse and streamline client workflows through automation and process optimisation
- Managed Cloud Support (RMM \& PSA): Provide ongoing monitoring, management, and support of client cloud and IT environments
- Cybersecurity, Monitoring \& Performance Optimisation: Deliver continuous security monitoring, threat detection, and system performance optimisation for client environments
- Microsoft AI \& M365 Modern Work: Implement and manage Microsoft 365, Copilot, and modern workplace solutions for clients
- AI Integrations, Cloud Migration \& Modernisation: Lead cloud migration projects, AI integration, and modernisation of client IT infrastructure
- Oversee Amarjnet’s internal IT systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments
- Ensure internal systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with operational needs
- Manage upgrades, integrations, deployments, and system performance
- Maintain internal IT governance, policies, and technical standards
- Conduct IT Health Checks for both internal systems and client environments
- Deliver Cloud Audits to identify risks, inefficiencies, and optimisation opportunities
- Provide detailed recommendations for performance, cost reduction, and resilience improvements
- Support clients in remediation and implementation of improvements
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity frameworks across internal and client environments
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations
- Oversee security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management
- Maintain secure identity, access control, and data protection standards
- Act as escalation point for all internal and client technical issues
- Provide expert technical guidance across all service areas
- Liaise with client stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners
- Translate technical issues into clear, actionable business communication
- Lead development of automation\-first solutions across client and internal systems
- Identify opportunities for efficiency gains through AI and process optimisation
- Drive continuous improvement across all managed services
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies relevant to client needs
- Oversee service delivery across all managed clients
- Ensure SLA compliance, system uptime, and service quality standards
- Manage monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes
- Maintain documentation, reporting, and service transparency
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and cloud providers
- Act as senior technical representative in client engagements
- Oversee procurement and ensure cost\-effective service delivery
- Support client onboarding, solution design, and ongoing account management
- Lead internal IT and technical delivery teams
- Manage and develop engineers, contractors, or outsourced providers
- Set performance expectations and ensure accountability
- Promote a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and client service
Education:
- Master's (preferred)
- Network infrastructure: 8 years (preferred)
