IT Project Manager Consultant
Mission Overview:
This is a consultancy mission at a client site, where you will represent Keystone Solutions as a Project Manager (IT) within the client's IT Strategy Office. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will be hired to work on client projects, delivering expertise and value in a dynamic environment.

The client is a leading financial institution in Europe, currently undergoing a significant technology transformation to support digital\-first customer experiences, cross\-border collaboration, and data\-driven operations. The IT Strategy Office acts as a trusted advisor to the CIO, shaping actionable decisions that define the future of the technology landscape and ensuring IT investments drive business value.
Role Purpose \& Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high\-impact, actionable, and synthetic recommendations to the CIO on critical technology directions (such as legacy modernization, application rationalization, and cross\-border collaboration projects) under fixed timelines.
- Bridge the gap between technology and strategy by leveraging your background in IT architecture or systems analysis to quickly deep\-dive into technical issues, extract core strategic questions, and formulate clear recommendations for executive management.
- Assemble and lead ad\-hoc, cross\-functional expert groups to solve strategic IT dilemmas, ensuring rapid alignment and concrete deliverable outcomes.
- Responsibilities will be carried out under Keystone Solutions’ consultancy model, providing expertise and leadership in a client\-facing environment.
- At least 10 years of IT experience, with a strong background in Enterprise/Solution Architecture, IT Analysis, Tech Lead, or similar roles.
- Strong understanding of modern IT paradigms, including Cloud computing, API\-led connectivity, Core Banking modernization, agentic AI, Data architectures, DevSecOps, and AI\-driven cyber threats.
- Experience in a strategic or transversal role, such as IT Strategy Consulting (Big 4, Strategy firm), internal Strategy Office, or Chief of Staff/Advisor role in a large IT organization.
- Experience in Banking/Financial Services, ideally Retail Banking, is a strong plus. Understanding of core banking systems, payments, channels, regulatory constraints, and legacy systems is highly valued.
- Former Architect/Analyst mindset with a current strategist approach: deep understanding of technology to challenge architects, but focused on strategic outcomes.
- Pragmatic strategist: able to deliver solid recommendations quickly, balancing analysis with actionable advice.
- Ability to influence without authority, build networks, and get things done in a matrix organization.
- Excellent executive communication skills: able to write and present for a CIO, with clear, structured, and concise PowerPoint and memo\-writing abilities.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and working in environments with high autonomy and low formal structure.
- Sound knowledge of English as well as at least one local language (Dutch or French).
- Work is based in Brussels, with an expectation of 50% on\-site and 50% homeworking from Belgium.
