As an IT Project Engineer you will join our team and lead the implementation of client-facing technical projects across the New York City area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment, is comfortable working on-site with clients, and has a deep understanding of multi-tenant support, project execution, and modern IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and upgrading systems across a wide range of client environments. Your work as an IT Project Engineer has several components: 
<ul>
<li>Function as a hands-on, technical element of client project delivery, including but not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Client onboardings and offboardings</li>
<li>Network installations and migrations</li>
<li>Windows server-to-server or server-to-cloud migrations</li>
<li>Office builds and moves</li>
<li>MDM/MAM + Conditional Access implementation</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Collaborate with project managers and account teams to provide regular updates and create and update documentation.</li>
<li>Function as an escalation point for resolution of project issues.</li>
<li>Travel to client sites across NYC and surrounding area for installations, assessments, and hands-on technical work (estimated 50–75%).</li>
<li>Communicate clearly with clients, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.</li>
</ul>
 
Our ideal IT Project Engineer has the following qualifications:
<ul>
<li>3-5+ years IT MSP experience including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience (mandatory).</li>
<li>Strong experience implementing IT infrastructure projects from design through completion.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD, and common MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA).</li>
<li>Solid understanding of CCNA-level networking</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>
<li>Strong aptitude for time and note entry within a PSA.</li>
<li>Understanding of predictive and hybrid project methodologies, including roles, responsibilities, and work breakdown structure (WBS)</li>
<li>Located in or near New York City and able to comfortably travel to client sites as required</li>
</ul>
Preferred requirements:
<ul>
<li>Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, PMI).</li>
<li>Specific experience with: Microsoft Azure, 365, and SharePoint</li>
<li>Meraki Networking</li>
<li>Windows Server</li>
<li>Modern security principals – MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, MDM, MAM</li>
<li>ConnectWise PSA</li>
</ul>
