IT & Cloud Server Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT \& Cloud Server Specialist to drive our cloud infrastructure and server management initiatives. Duties

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure solutions across platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and OpenStack.


• Implement virtualization technologies including VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes to optimize resource utilization and scalability.


• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Python, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, and Terraform to streamline deployment processes.


• Maintain and enhance cloud architecture by integrating SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), and microservices architectures.


• Monitor system performance and security; troubleshoot issues related to operating systems like Linux and Windows.


• Develop APIs and web services utilizing RESTful principles to facilitate seamless integration between applications.


• Manage databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB to support data\-driven applications.


• Ensure compliance with security protocols including VPNs, firewalls, and encryption standards; implement best practices for cloud security.


• Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities including version control with Git, continuous integration with Jenkins, and software deployment automation.


• Collaborate with cross\-functional teams on application development using JavaScript, Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js,.NET, Go, and other programming languages.


• Maintain documentation for system configurations, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across teams.

Skills

• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, OpenStack; deep understanding of cloud architecture principles.


• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.


• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash (Unix shell), Python; experience with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet.


• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform for provisioning cloud resources efficiently.


• Hands\-on experience with operating systems including Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.


• Expertise in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database; understanding of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.


• Knowledge of web services protocols including REST APIs; experience integrating third\-party APIs for enhanced functionality.


• Strong understanding of network security practices including VPNs; ability to implement firewalls and encryption standards effectively.


• Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; version control systems like Git for collaborative development workflows.


• Familiarity with application development frameworks including JavaScript frameworks (Node.js), Java EE/Spring Boot; Ruby on Rails is a plus.


• Ability to develop microservices architectures supporting scalable SaaS applications; knowledge of service\-oriented architecture (SOA).


• Excellent problem\-solving skills combined with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non\-technical stakeholders.
