Investment Due Diligence, Private Markets - Senior Vice President
<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>iCapital is seeking a Senior Vice President to join its growing Research and Due Diligence team, with a <strong>primary focus on private credit strategies</strong> and <strong>secondary coverage of broader private markets</strong>, including private equity, real estate, and real assets.This individual will play a leadership role in sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring investment opportunities. The role also includes overseeing due diligence processes, developing thought leadership and educational materials, presenting to clients, and managing a team of investment analysts. The ideal candidate will combine deep private credit expertise with a strong understanding of the evolving private markets landscape.</p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the evaluation and due diligence of private credit managers and strategies, including direct lending, opportunistic credit, structured credit, and specialty finance</li>
<li>Conduct comprehensive investment and operational due diligence, with a focus on manager underwriting processes, portfolio construction, and risk management frameworks</li>
<li>Prepare detailed due diligence reports integrating both qualitative insights and quantitative analysis</li>
<li>Oversee and manage a private credit-focused investment pipeline, including sourcing, evaluating, and prioritizing new and existing opportunities</li>
<li>Support broader private markets coverage, including private equity, real estate, and real assets, as part of a diversified platform offering</li>
<li>Present investment opportunities and market insights to internal stakeholders, investment committees, and clients</li>
<li>Contribute to the development of private credit market views, including analysis of interest rate environments, credit spreads, and relative value dynamics</li>
<li>Participate in ongoing portfolio monitoring, with primary responsibility for private credit investments, including performance tracking and risk assessment</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Legal & Compliance, and Corporate Finance</li>
<li>Mentor and manage junior team members, fostering a high-performing research culture</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong> </p>
<ul>
<li>15+ years of total experience in financial services; 10+ years of experience conducting due diligence on private capital managers, preferably for a top-tier investment consultant or fund of funds </li>
<li>Fund manager evaluation as the candidate’s primary responsibility at prior firm(s) </li>
<li>Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills </li>
<li>Strong written communication skills and able to present in front of senior professionals in the industry </li>
<li>Able to work independently </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Benefits</strong></p>
<p>The base salary range for this role is $225,000 to $265,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes an employer matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare with 100% employer paid dental, vision, telemedicine, and virtual mental health counseling, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).</p>
<p>We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.</p>
