International Tax manager, EMEA Consumer Tax

Amazon EU seeks an international tax Manager to support its European business operations across EMEA. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a high level of collegiality, functioning as a tax adviser and project supervisor.

The role has option to be based in eitherr Luxembourg, Madrid or London.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate tax audits and litigations, in multiple jurisdiction (including preparing deliverables, meetings with tax authorities, etc).


• Assist with managing relationships with outside tax consultants and regulatory authorities on an ongoing basis


• Partner with multiple stakeholders across the company to lead tax input on the launch of new business initiatives and provide ongoing tax support for queries


• Own corporate tax input on projects to deliver detailed tax analysis and recommendations


• Communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non\-tax professionals


• Engage regularly with business partners to ensure understanding and continued compliance with the groups European business structure


• Assess how existing and upcoming tax laws and regulations will impact the Amazon businesses

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
------------------------

• Experience tax advisory (excluding compliance)


• Experience in taxation in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm


• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level


• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field


• Experience of working with European tax laws

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience a corporate tax advisory role in a multinational and/or professional organization


• Degree in law, Economy with a taxation specialization
