International Payroll Specialist (m/w/d)

term (July/August 2026 > December 2027) We are looking for an
International Payroll Specialist - German Speaker! Join our dedicated
international payroll team and play a key role in delivering accurate,
compliant, and timely payroll across multiple countries. In this role,
you’ll primarily support payroll operations for Germany, Austria &
Switzerland, partnering closely with external payroll providers and
internal stakeholders. You’ll thrive here if you’re
detail-oriented, comfortable juggling priorities in a dynamic
environment, and motivated by continuous process improvement.
Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, working across Finance,
HR, People Operations, Audit, Compliance, and with business leaders
globally to support our strategic roadmap. This position is Hybrid, in
Europe. Preferably Germany, but other locations where IDEXX operates
are possible. What You’ll Do Process, audit, and reconcile
international payrolls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time
delivery Partner with external payroll providers and internal
stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll reporting
Coordinate payroll approval & payment instructions with the Finance
team Prepare monthly payroll GL journal, accrual reports, and
month-end closing reporting activities Ensure compliance with
statutory regulations, collective labor agreements, and company
policies Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries Support
internal and external audits Provide payroll data and insights to
support HR and cross-functional projects Profile 3+ years of
experience in an international payroll or payroll/accounting
environment Hands-on experience processing European payrolls, with
strong knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and tax laws
Strong expertise in German payroll and labor law Experience working
with outsourced payroll providers Proven ability to manage internal
and external stakeholders Ability to work independently, accurately,
and meet tight deadlines Fluency in German and English (written and
verbal) Strong ownership mindset and accountability for payroll
processes Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables,
macros, etc.) Ability to manage shifting priorities and solve problems
effectively Willingness to learn, adapt, and give/receive feedback
