Role Overview
Tailored Bathrooms is seeking an organised, customer\-focused and commercially minded Sales \& Key Account Manager to provide maternity cover within our growing business.
This role is responsible for managing relationships with key customers, handling customer enquiries, and issues, supporting our external sales team, and ensuring pricing, promotional activity and customer communications are aligned with company objectives.
The successful candidate will act as an important link between customers, the sales team, and internal departments, helping ensure excellent service levels whilst protecting and growing customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for designated key account customers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage customer enquiries, quotations and requests efficiently.
- Monitor customer performance and identify opportunities for increased sales.
- Ensure customers are informed of promotions, new products and business developments.
- Support customer retention and growth strategies.
- Manage and resolve customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Investigate and coordinate solutions with internal departments.
- Ensure customer concerns are handled effectively and communicated appropriately.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Provide pricing guidance and support to the external sales team.
- Assist with quotation approvals and pricing consistency.
- Coordinate promotional activity to ensure sales targets and company objectives remain aligned.
- Act as a central point of contact for sales\-related queries.
- Support the sales team in identifying and resolving customer issues that may impact account performance.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and service issues.
- Investigate root causes of customer concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Work with management and relevant departments to resolve conflicts effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of complaints and resolutions.
- Ensure sensitive situations are managed professionally and in a manner that protects both customer relationships and company interests.
- Prepare quotations and pricing proposals.
- Maintain accurate customer records within internal systems.
- Produce reports on customer activity, opportunities and issues.
- Assist with sales analysis and promotional planning.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across customer service and sales functions.
Essential
- Previous experience in account management, sales support or customer relationship management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem\-solving and conflict\-resolution abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience within bathrooms, plumbing, interiors, building products or distribution sectors.
- Experience supporting field\-based sales representatives.
- Knowledge of warehouse and account systems
- Experience managing key customer accounts.
- Professional and confident communicator.

- Calm and diplomatic when handling difficult situations.

Pay: £27,500\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
