Macildowie are working exclusively with a client based in Nottingham who are looking to appoint an Internal Sales Executive to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their sales career who is looking to develop their skills, gain exposure to a variety of markets and build a long-term career within a supportive and growing business. Working closely with an experienced leadership team, you'll join a collaborative environment where you'll be given the autonomy to develop your own approach, whilst receiving guidance and support when needed. This isn't a heavily KPI-driven sales environment; instead, the focus is on building relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering excellent customer service.
The role is predominantly office-based, providing a fantastic platform to develop your sales skills, whilst also offering opportunities to attend trade exhibitions, industry events and customer visits across the UK (your potential future colleagues just arrived back from travelling across Ireland on customer visits).
The Role:
- Building relationships with prospective and existing customers across a range of sectors
- Managing and growing existing customer accounts
- Qualifying opportunities, preparing quotations and supporting the sales process through to completion
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities through outbound calls, email campaigns and social outreach
- Working closely with colleagues across sales and marketing to support campaigns and commercial activity
- Maintaining accurate customer records and pipeline information
- Supporting customer engagement activities including trade shows and client visits
- Ideally 1-2 years' experience within a sales, business development or customer-facing commercial role
- A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships
- Someone with energy, enthusiasm and a naturally engaging personality
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities
- Comfortable working within a small team environment
- Strong customer focus and a genuine interest in developing a career in sales
- Full UK driving licence (highly desirable)
