As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of electrical building services designs across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working alongside experienced engineers and wider multidisciplinary teams, you will be involved throughout the project lifecycle from concept design through to completion.Key responsibilities include:
- Producing electrical building services designs, calculations, specifications and technical drawings.
- Assisting with the delivery of projects across a range of sectors.
- Using industry-standard software including Amtech, Dialux/Relux and Revit.
- Supporting the selection of electrical systems, plant and equipment.
- Working closely with colleagues across other engineering disciplines.
- Attending design and project meetings with clients and project stakeholders.
- Supporting sustainability initiatives and low-carbon design solutions.
- Monitoring your own project delivery against programme, quality and budget requirements.
- Undertaking site visits and inspections where required.
- Continuing your professional development and keeping up to date with emerging technologies and industry developments.
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A degree, HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 12 months' experience within a building services design environment following qualification.
- Experience using software such as Microsoft Office, Dialux/Relux, Amtech and Revit.
- Knowledge of current Building Regulations and British Standards.
- An understanding of sustainable building design principles and renewable technologies.
- Familiarity with BREEAM requirements.
- Membership of, or aspirations towards membership of, a professional institution such as CIBSE or IET.
- Any exposure to healthcare projects and HTM guidance would be beneficial but is not essential.
