About the role

The Interim Senior Accountant will provide hands\-on accounting support for the Swiss legal entity during a transition period following the departure of the current accountant. The role is critical to ensuring continuity of day\-to\-day accounting operations, timely journal entries, cash application, and collections support.

This is a fixed\-term interim position (6 months) with a strong operational focus. The role will support the local entity while aligning with the organisation’s broader shared services strategy and may contribute to a smooth handover and stabilisation period.

What you’ll do

Core Accounting \& Close Support

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.


• Support month\-end and period\-close activities for the Swiss entity.


• Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions.

• Apply incoming cash accurately and in a timely manner.


• Support collections activities and follow up on outstanding receivables.


• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to customer accounts.

• Provide day\-to\-day accounting support across a variety of transactional finance activities.


• Work closely with controllers and finance leadership to ensure business continuity during the transition period.


• Support process documentation and handover activities.

• Liaise with internal finance team members across regions.


• Participate in handover activities with the outgoing accountant, including limited on\-site availability in Zurich during May.

• Proven experience in accounting roles with strong hands\-on responsibility.


• Experience supporting legal entities in a multinational environment preferred.


• Prior interim, contract, or transition\-style assignments are an advantage.


• Fluent English and German required.


• Ability to work in an office environment.


• Willingness to travel occasionally for handover activities (Zurich).

Work Location: Hybrid work schedule on\-site in Frankfurt, Germany.

Actual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and may vary based on individual factors such as location, skills, and education.
