Interim Procurement Manager

We're looking for an Interim Procurement Manager to support procurement activities and ensure compliance with public sector regulations. Based in Birmingham, this role is key to managing procurement processes and delivering value for the organisation.

Description

• Lead end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations.


• Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve cost savings and value for money.


• Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and performance standards are met.


• Provide guidance on procurement policies and procedures to internal stakeholders.


• Prepare and evaluate tender documents and contracts.


• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.


• Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of procurement activities.


• Support the organisation in achieving its strategic objectives through effective procurement management.

A successful Interim Procurement Manager should have:

• Strong knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and best practices.


• Proven experience in managing procurement processes, including tendering and contract management.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.


• Ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities.


• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in procurement or supply chain management are desirable.

• Daily rate of £500 (Umbrella)


• 6-month contract


• Temporary contract with potential for impactful contributions in the public sector.
