As Instrument Engineer, do you want to solve tough challenges for the global energy industry?
As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for an Instrument Engineer for an exciting project at Stord.
The project operates in 14/21 Rotation scheme.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil \& gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
Verifying design, engineering and vendor documentation and following up discrepancies
Preparing and structuring EIT work packages for efficient production
Ensuring construction‑ and HSSE‑friendly solutions through 3D model verification (PDMS/E3D)
Following up DCNs and ensuring implementation in work packages
Dividing and optimizing work scope to support effective production execution
Coordinating interfaces across disciplines (EIT, piping, structure, civil, HVAC), suppliers and contractors
Supporting IT/IS systems related to engineering registers, E3D/Navis and MIPS
Driving good HSSE performance throughout all activities
We think you should have:
Experience with instrument equipment and tubing work
Knowledge of EIT installation and interface coordination
Experience with as‑built documentation and mechanical interface drawings
Good understanding of 3D tools and general IT systems
Software skills: MS Office 365, MIPS, E3D
Structured and proactive with strong collaboration skills
Valid certifications: FSEL, practical First Aid and EX course
Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience that can compensate for formal education
