Join our team.</em></p></div><p>Barbaricum is seeking an Information Technology Technician I (Computer Network Support Specialist) to provide technical support for information technology systems, network infrastructure, and mission-support environments. The selected candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of computer systems, servers, and network services across physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments.</p>
<p>The Information Technology Technician will support day-to-day IT operations, infrastructure monitoring, and user support activities while helping maintain the security, reliability, and performance of mission-critical systems. The successful candidate will work closely with network, systems, and cybersecurity personnel to support operational readiness and multidomain training initiatives.</p>

<li data-section-id="w8xwz3" data-start="101" data-end="241">Provide Tier I technical support for computer systems, network infrastructure, and IT services supporting mission and training operations.</li>
<li data-section-id="13e0spw" data-start="242" data-end="360">Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop systems, servers, peripherals, and network-connected devices.</li>
<li data-section-id="x15jvy" data-start="361" data-end="501">Support Windows and Linux operating systems, including user account management, system administration, and routine maintenance activities.</li>
<li data-section-id="n6cdp6" data-start="502" data-end="611">Assist with the operation and monitoring of physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure environments.</li>
<li data-section-id="bgmksr" data-start="612" data-end="734">Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, and Xen, including basic administration and troubleshooting tasks.</li>
<li data-section-id="1ohaajm" data-start="735" data-end="839">Monitor system and network performance, identify issues, and escalate complex problems as appropriate.</li>
<li data-section-id="13lvwio" data-start="840" data-end="986">Assist in implementing security best practices, vulnerability mitigation efforts, and compliance with organizational cybersecurity requirements.</li>
<li data-section-id="vdhj2u" data-start="987" data-end="1108">Support infrastructure upgrades, hardware deployments, software installations, and configuration management activities.</li>
<li data-section-id="xgvvi1" data-start="1109" data-end="1198">Maintain technical documentation, inventory records, and standard operating procedures.</li>
<li data-section-id="ftgbxg" data-start="1199" data-end="1302">Collaborate with network, systems, and cybersecurity teams to ensure reliable and secure IT services.</li>

<p><br><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li> Active DoD Secret Clearance</li>
<li>Associates degree or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Must meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT II requirements.</li>
<li>Minimum 1yr of experience on computer systems and working with Informational Technology and networking. </li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with Windows enterprise and Linux server / operating systems engineering, and administration with knowledge of network vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with cloud, physical, and virtual network architect, engineering, and infrastructure monitoring.</li>
<li> Expertise with hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, and Xen.</li>
</ul>
