The Role
To liaise closely with Divisional, Performance, Modernisation staff, IM\&T colleagues, Health Records and external agencies to ensure that corporate patient focussed data systems are fully utilised to support the clinical and business activities of NHS Lanarkshire.
Responsible for providing assistance and advice on complex enquiries and situations, as required to Acute and Primary Care operating divisions. The completion of reporting of Stage Of Treatment Waiting times, TTG waiting times reporting, Primary Care waiting times and Aggregated submission templates to fulfil National requirements.
The post will work across the Information Services structure however the postholder may be the designated lead for particular workloads and customers.
In this key role, you will:
- Support the development of report construction and information distribution and promote use of business intelligence throughout the organisation.
- Make recommendations to senior management on improvements to information gathering techniques and presentation of information throughout the organisation.
- Supervision and direction of Information Assistant workload plans.
- Support the development of business and clinical services through the analysis of activity, performance and quality indicators on routine, short\-life and ad\-hoc bases.
- Academic qualifications require a high numerical and statistical content at degree level or with further skills gained through a mixture of experience and formal training.
- Experience of working within an information/ statistical environment within the NHS is required.
- A specialist knowledge and experience of application of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies is required.
- Effective and sure communication skills are required to present and advise on analyses and implications and provide instruction and guidance on procedures and standards.
- Supervisory experience is required to direct and prioritise workloads and to identify and resolve straightforward technical and organisational obstacles to the information production process.
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
